Bespoke Cinema Rooms
Cinema rooms are as much about what you cannot see as what you can: equipment out of sight, cabling routed away, surfaces that absorb rather than reflect, and lighting that can drop to almost nothing.
Our joinery covers the built elements — panelling, screen surrounds, equipment cabinetry, seating platforms and storage — and is coordinated with your audio-visual specialist so the technical requirements are built in.

How the project runs

Consultation
We visit the space or meet at the workshop, talk through how the room needs to work, and agree a realistic budget before any drawings are issued.

Design
Measured drawings show exactly what is being built: cabinet sizes, storage layout, sightlines and how the furniture meets the building.

Materials & Finishes
Timbers, paint colours, worktops and ironmongery are sampled and agreed, so nothing is decided from a photograph alone.

Manufacture
Everything is built in our Derbyshire workshop by the people who will install it, which keeps the detailing and the quality consistent.

Installation
We fit, scribe and adjust on site, protect the rest of the house while we work, and walk the finished furniture through with you.

Cinema Rooms — common questions
- Do you supply the audio-visual equipment?
- We do not supply the audio-visual equipment ourselves; instead, we build the room and its joinery around it. We work alongside your chosen AV specialist to agree screen size, speaker positions and equipment locations, or can put you in touch with specialists we have worked with before, so the technical requirements are resolved ahead of manufacture.
- Can a cinema room work in a normal-sized room?
- A modest spare room or garden room can work well for a cinema, since proportion, seating distance from the screen and light control matter far more than raw floor area. We plan sightlines, screen size and seating position against the actual dimensions of your room, and coordinate with your AV specialist so the technical requirements suit the space available.
