About Us

Furniture built properly, by the people who fit it

Chester Thomas is a bespoke furniture maker based in Coton in the Elms, Derbyshire. We design, build and install kitchens, wardrobes, media walls, bars and cabinetry for homes across the Midlands.

Everything we build is drawn for the room it will live in. Ceilings slope, walls run out and chimney breasts sit where they sit — bespoke means the furniture is built around those things rather than fighting them.

Work is built in our own workshop rather than ordered in as flat-pack carcasses, so we control the materials, the detailing and the finish. The team who build a piece are the team who install it, which is the simplest way to keep standards consistent.

We keep a small number of projects running at any one time. It means you deal with people who know your job, and it means we can give each installation the time it needs.

How we work

Built in Derbyshire

Designed, machined, sprayed and finished in our own workshop, then delivered and fitted by us.

Designed around the room

Measured surveys and drawings before manufacture, so the fit is right and the storage suits how you actually live.

Clear from the start
