Bespoke Kitchens in Swadlincote

Swadlincote's housing stock ranges from Victorian terraces close to the town centre and Church Street to more recent estates around Midway and Newhall, and larger detached homes on the outskirts towards Hartshorne, each bringing a different starting point for a kitchen project. Because our workshop sits close by in Derbyshire, getting from an initial conversation to a measured visit and back with drawings tends to be a straightforward process, without the long lead times that distance alone can add to a project. That proximity is useful when a design needs revisiting after a site survey, when a services position moves once first fix electrics are agreed, or when you want to see a worktop slab or a painted door sample in daylight before committing to it.

Layout comes before anything else. Where the sink, hob and fridge sit relative to one another, how far apart the working surfaces are, and how a kitchen connects to an adjoining dining, utility or garden room all shape the cabinetry that follows. In a smaller Swadlincote terrace kitchen this might mean maximising every run of wall storage and choosing taller units over base cupboards; in a larger Church Gresley or Woodville extension it can mean planning two or three separate zones so cooking, preparation and everyday storage don't compete for the same length of worktop.

Appliances, lighting and services are specified alongside the cabinetry rather than bolted on afterwards. Extraction, plumbing runs, electrical circuits for ovens and induction hobs, and the position of sockets above the worktop are all agreed at drawing stage, so the finished kitchen doesn't rely on trailing leads or an extractor duct routed as an afterthought once the units are already in place.

The kitchen is then built in our Derbyshire workshop and fitted by the same team who designed it, with cabinetry, worktops, lighting and hardware specified together from the outset. That coordination is what allows a finished kitchen to read as one considered room rather than a set of separately sourced components, and it means the person who measured your chimney breast is the same person checking the fit on installation day.
